Novi Sad, as a capital city of Vojvodina, is located on the Danube between Belgrade and Budapest and represents a regional cultural center. Thanks to it`s good position on the Danube and the crossroads, Novi Sad is well connected to surrounding towns and cities. It is located at 83 km west of Belgrade, about 300 km south of Budapest, 450 km east of Ljubljana, 330 km east of Zagreb, 500 km north of Podgorica, about 150 km west of Timisoara and 100 km south of Subotica and Hungarian border.

Arrival by air transport
In Novi Sad there is no commercial airport for passenger traffic. The nearest airport to Novi Sad is International Airport Nikola Tesla in Surcin (IATA: BEG), near Belgrade, about 70 km from Novi Sad. In past few years an increasing number of low-cost company decided to perform regular traffic to and from the airport Nikola Tesla. From the airport to Novi Sad there is no direct connection by train or bus, only to Belgrade, but the taxi carriers organize transportation from the airport to Novi Sad. Other airports in near area of Novi Sad where low-cost companies fly are: Airport Osijek 96 km away, Traian Vuia International Airport in Timisoara, 126 km away and Ferihegy International Airport in Budapest, 247 km away.
The arrival of car transport
Near Novi Sad is Corridor X, and the international road E-75, which connects Budapest and Belgrade. If coming from the direction of Ljubljana and Zagreb, it is necessary to go through the E-70, which passes about 40 km south of Novi Sad.
Arrival by train
Novi Sad is a part of well-connected permanent way connections with the complete territory of Serbia and the rest of Europe. In Novi Sad stops a number of compositions, both in domestic and in international traffic. In addition, Serbia is in the Inter-rail system.
Arrival bus line
In Novi Sad there are two bus stations where is situated domestic and international bus transport. These two stations are Old Bus Station (which is still more present in bus transport) and new bus station. Novi Sad presents a very frequent international traffic, especially with neighboring countries.
Arrival by boat
Regarding the fact that Novi Sad is located on the Danube, there is a possibility of tourist arrivals by boat. For now it is developed only the arrival of tourists cruising on the Danube in some arrangements. Excursions to the Danube and the surrounding towns and villages and pristine landscapes and protected nature is in the early stage of development. In addition, with regards to the existence of a developed network port for small vessels in Novi Sad, there is a possibility of coming with your own boat, but this idea has not yet been developed.
